AP: VidEG Genre15 Jennifer Lopez Ft Iggy Azalea - Booty

Directed by - Hype Williams

Unfortunately trying to screen shot this video is probably one of the most difficult things I've had to do! Because every time you click to pause it some 'booty' comes up instead of the shot you wanted to take! The amount of 'booty' in the video is bordering on unacceptable, when we thought we had seen it all with the likes of Anaconda (Nicki Minaj) but it is only when we realised that Iggy is 24 and Jennifer is 45 and whilst they are both grinding against each other, Lopez is old enough to be her mother! There is no real narrative and is purely based on performance with the edge of concept which is could, most of it be argued as performance.

AP: VidEG Genre14 Beyonce - 7/11

Beyonce's lastest music video for her recent release 7/11

Attached is a link I found whilst googling the video, the article cuts down the point to the music video and argues that Beyonce has done it partially to show her personality as when part of Destinys Child in 00s she was known for being ice cold. It also shows what can be dont with very little performance and preperation. All shot in one afternoon, I think this is something to aspire to very much!

AP: Smoke Machine Influences And Ideas

We liked this for the use of the smoke machine within the video as we saw this in other videos and thought it looked effective. we thought the video for this was good as it provided more than just one location which is usually the studio in which they shoot. The outdoor studio effect as well as actually going outside is something that i really like.

AP: Digipak Template Website

We came across this website that allowed us to choose our own digipak template without the troubles of trying to make our own. The website was particularly useful as it allowed us to choose different styles.

AP: YouGov Profiles - Lady Gaga

This research has been taken from YouGov which is an internet market research firm. The picture below are not necessarily the results we were expecting in some aspects i.e. the age, however after looking in to the website with more depth we realised that they only interview people over 18 therefore it is unlikely that we would get results from a young teenage audience, however we did expect it to therefore be slightly younger for the age range 18 - 24, but after a short discussion we concluded that this was due to the parents being a fan of the music as the children/ teenagers listen to it. And as the children were not old enough to take part, it came down to the parents to be the fans of this. Therefore we have argued that we do have a secondary audience which is of the ages between 40 - 59.

This gives an overall impression of the person who is likely to listen to Lady Gaga

This can also include hobbies and other interests

And also how they would describe themselves

Where they shop and what brands they consume

Including entertainment and celebrities they may follow

This includes their digital footprint of what websites and apps they are most likely to use

This also gives an idea as to how long and what types of media they are likely to consume

AP: Our 5th Shoot

In our 5th shoot we chose to film it at my house. We chose the lounge as this had a couple of items that we worthy to us. This included a taxidermy puffin.

As we were aware in Psycho (Hitchcock, 1960) that there was use of taxidermy birds. We plan to film later in our next shoot using taxidermy owls.

We situated Gaga in a leather bucket chair as this felt best de to the use of leather in a lot of her videos, we like a bucked shape as it would be easy to manoeuvre but also good for gaga to position herself.

Below is a clip from youtube from Pyscho (Hitchcock,1960) This is where we got our inspiration from.

AP: VidEG Genre13 Born This Way - Lady Gaga

Born This Way was lady gagas song to show the world that she was famous but could put it to good use by using the song lyrics from born this way to voice her opinions to show that it doesnt matter who you are, what colour your skin is, who you love it is irrelevant so embrace it as 'you were born this way'. In this way as is clear from our audience research she has recieved a lot of fans from around the world but also attract many gay, bi, and transexual fans. It is argued that Gaga feels that she owes it to these people as it is them who got her career first off the ground when she started singing in gay clubs.

The Unicorn is tattooed onto her thigh to symbolise born this way
